In addition to life by the seaside, Torquay has excellent communication links with access to the inter city rail network at Newton Abbot having trains to London Paddington (fastest journey time 2 hours 35 minutes), Bristol and the North of England. The university city of Exeter is approximately 23 miles distance, with its historic cathedral, vibrant and modern shopping and leisure district of cafe culture. It is also home to a regional airport with flights to UK, international holiday and business destinations.
